Craig Timm

Craig Timm is an adjunct Lecturer in Professional Communication at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point (UWSP), where he has taught courses like Introduction to Public Relations and Crisis Communication for over two decades. A Wisconsin Rapids native, he views his UWSP role as an honor and emphasizes his passion for education through interactions with students.

With a 25-year background in corporate public affairs at Georgia-Pacific and Domtar, he specialized in regional stakeholder engagement across Wisconsin, Illinois, Ohio, Michigan, and Pennsylvania. He also served as a registered lobbyist, collaborating with federal, state, and local elected officials.

Previously, Craig spent 11 years as Public Information/Foundation Director at Mid-State Technical College, focusing on institutional visibility and fundraising. Currently, he balances his academic role with a four-year career in funeral service at Herman-Taylor Funeral Home, where he supports families as a licensed pre-need funeral planning specialist and life insurance agent.
