Craig Quintero

Craig Quintero is a Professor and Department Chair of Theatre, Dance, and Performance Studies at Grinnell College. As Artistic Director of Taipei-based Riverbed Theatre Company, he has directed over fifty original performances globally, blending theatre with VR art. His work spans installations exhibited at major biennales (Venice Biennale Collateral Events, Asian Biennial) and award-winning VR projects like *All That Remains* (Venice Film Festival 2022) and *Over the Rainbow* (Tribeca Film Festival 2023). He holds a Ph.D. in Performance Studies from Northwestern University and is a Fulbright Senior Scholar and Mellon Humanities Unbounded Fellow.

Quintero’s research explores liminal spaces between reality and digital media, with recent projects examining identity (e.g., *Blur* on cloning ethics) and existential themes (*The Just for You Trilogy*). His VR works have garnered accolades including Luxembourg Film Festival’s Best Immersive Experience and Panorama Prize at Festival du Nouveau Cinema. He actively collaborates internationally, with works showcased in Taiwan, Europe, and the U.S., merging cutting-edge technology with traditional performance arts.
