Craig Jordan-Baker

Craig Jordan-Baker is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Brighton's School of Humanities and Social Science, affiliated with the Centre for Applied Philosophy, Politics and Ethics. He holds a PhD in Philosophy from the University of Sussex (2013) and has extensive teaching experience in creative writing and environmental literature. His research focuses on literary representations of landscape, nature, and the Anthropocene, blending academic work with creative writing projects.

He also engages in Irish literature, medieval studies, and the theoretical foundations of creative writing.

Advising & Grants: Supervises PhD students on folklore, psychogeography, and environmental literature. Active in funded projects like CAPONEU: Cartography of the Political Novel (EU-funded, 2023–2027) and BYOD Digital Storytelling (2022–2023). Served as External Examiner at Universities of Bedfordshire and Bolton.
