Craig E. Dietz is an Assistant Professor at the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine, affiliated with the departments of Restorative and Comprehensive Care and Prosthodontics. He graduated with a BS in Biology from the University of Pittsburgh in 1977 and earned his DMD from the same institution in 1981. After opening a private practice in 1981, he retired in 2017. Dr. Dietz has held significant roles, including Clinical Instructor in the AEGD Residency Program (2008–2017) and instructor in Prosthodontic Pre-Clinic and Restorative Clinics since 2022. He currently serves as Co-Director of Operative Techniques Review Course and Course Director of Clinical Restorative Dentistry.
His professional contributions include presenting the 2023 ACDE course 'Composite Sense' and teaching 'Advanced Composite Techniques' to D3/D4 students (2015–2019). He has also served on the Corydon Palmer Dental Society Board, as an ODA Delegate for eight years, and as President of the Beaver Local School Board for four years.
