Courtney Satkoski serves as an Instructor II in the Department of Integrated Studies at Florida Gulf Coast University's College of Arts and Sciences. She is also an Honors College Faculty Fellow who has taught at FGCU since 2007. Her academic appointment is housed within the Department of Integrated Studies, where she teaches courses focused on community engagement, servant leadership, and humanities and social issues.
Courtney Satkoski's research interests center on community engagement and service learning, non-profit organizations, and servant leadership. She has developed innovative approaches to teaching through Living Learning Communities (LLCs), creating opportunities for students to connect academic content with community service. Her work emphasizes collaborative learning, critical thinking, and developing students as active contributors to their communities. She also maintains a significant research interest in Restorative Juvenile Justice, having conducted a multi-year study examining School Accountability Board sessions in the Collier County School District.
While only one major publication is documented, her work 'Attention + Action: The Southwest Florida Paradigm for Community-Engaged Scholarship' demonstrates her commitment to connecting academic scholarship with community needs. Her research focuses on practical applications of service learning and civic engagement within higher education.

Courtney Satkoski has advised numerous student organizations, serving as Faculty Advisor for three of the largest student organizations on campus including Global Medical Brigades. She co-leads the Honors College Immokalee Immersion weekend and has traveled with students on international medical brigades to Panama and Honduras. Her advising approach integrates classroom learning with real-world service opportunities, creating meaningful experiences for students.
She founded the FGCU Malaria Project in 2009 in partnership with the Jimmy Carter Center and is actively involved in multiple community initiatives through her roles as founder and CEO of Hunting For A Cure and co-founder of Unlocked Memories. These organizations reflect her commitment to translating academic work into tangible community impact.
