Courtenay Daum

Courtenay Daum is Professor of Political Science and Women's Studies at Colorado State University, with affiliate appointments in Ethnic Studies. Her scholarship examines the intersection of law, politics, and social inequality through feminist and critical race frameworks. Research focuses include:

• Legal subjugation of marginalized populations
• Intersectional critiques of rights-based advocacy
• LGBTQ+ politics post-marriage equality
• Feminist analyses of criminal justice systems

Recent publications analyze the limitations of trans rights frameworks, protest politics in neoliberal contexts, and historical recovery of women's political agency. She teaches courses in constitutional law, civil liberties, and gender jurisprudence.
