Cornelia Ott

Cornelia Ott is a researcher at Graz University of Technology, affiliated with the Collaborative Research Program (CRC) "Advanced Computational Design" at the Institute of Architecture and Media (IAM). She holds a Dipl.-Ing. and BSc in architecture from Graz University of Technology, where her diploma thesis focused on alginate-clay composites for sustainable building acoustics in collaboration with the Institute of Chemistry and Technology of Biobased Systems (IBioSys) and the Laboratory for Signal Processing and Speech Communication (SPSC). Her research explores biobased materials as eco-friendly alternatives in construction.

Cornelia's work bridges architecture, materials science, and computational design. Her doctoral studies extend her research on alginate-clay composites while maintaining interdisciplinary collaboration with IBioSys. During her studies, she conducted a six-month research stay at Victoria University of Wellington in New Zealand.
