Corinne Funnell

Dr. Corinne Funnell is a Senior Lecturer at the University of the West of England (UWE), affiliated with the Faculty of Health and Applied Sciences (HAS). She holds advanced qualifications including an LLB (Hons), LLM, MSc (Distinction), PhD, and PGCE HE (Distinction). Her expertise spans criminology, criminal justice, qualitative research, hate crime, victimology, policing, and research methods.

Her research focuses on hate crime, victimology, and ethnography, with notable work exploring the societal and psychological impacts of racist hate crimes. She also examines policing strategies and legal frameworks addressing minority groups and drug-related issues.
