About
Conny Hooper is a Senior Research Fellow in Molecular and Computational Biology at the University of Western Australia's School of Molecular Sciences. She holds a PhD from UWA (2011) and a degree in Medical Biotechnology from Berlin's University of Technology (2005). Her research focuses on plant genetics, metabolic modeling, and bioinformatics, particularly in Anigozanthos (Kangaroo paw) genetics and sustainable urban green spaces. She leads projects on climate-resilient horticulture, Pilbara biodiversity barcoding, and subcellular proteomics databases like cropPAL and SUBA.
