Connie Cirkony

Connie Cirkony is a senior lecturer in Science Education at Monash University and holds an adjunct senior researcher role at the University of Tasmania's Faculty of Education. Her research focuses on evidence-informed policy and practice at the intersection of science, STEM, and sustainability education. She actively collaborates with educators and policymakers to improve teaching outcomes through curriculum design and professional learning initiatives.

Her current project, Shifting the Culture of Out-of-field Professional Education for Teachers, addresses national teacher shortages through systemic reform. Research interests include indigenous knowledge integration, multimodal representations in science education, and place-based environmental learning.
