Congcong Ma is an Associate Teaching Professor in the Department of East Asian Languages and Cultures at the University of Notre Dame, affiliated with the College of Arts and Letters. She holds an M.A. in Applied Linguistics from Beijing Normal University (2012) and a B.A. in Teaching Chinese as a Second Language from Minzu University of China (2009).
Her research focuses on Chinese language pedagogy and applied linguistics, with particular emphasis on curriculum design, pronunciation instruction, and technological integration in language education. She investigates effective teaching methodologies for both heritage and non-heritage learners across elementary to advanced levels.
Administratively, she coordinates first-year Chinese programs and oversees peer tutoring systems. She has organized numerous cultural events including the annual Mid-Autumn Festival celebration and student participation in regional speech contests.
