Collin Vas, M.D., is an Associate Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at the Medical School of The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. His expertise focuses on diagnosing and treating mood and anxiety disorders. He is a member of the Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder Spectrum clinical care team and a clinician in the Psychoneuroendocrinology Research program.
Education: Earned his medical degree at St. John’s Medical College (Bangalore, India). Completed residencies in psychiatry at Christian Medical College (Vellore, India) and the Mayo Clinic (Rochester, Minnesota). Received postgraduate training in psychiatry from the North Eastern Health Board (Ireland). Board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology since joining UT Southwestern in 2007.
Research interests include psychoneuroendocrinology and clinical care for OCD spectrum disorders. Active in clinical care teams and research programs addressing complex psychiatric conditions.
