Colleen M. Keough

Colleen M. Keough is a Clinical Professor of Communication at the University of Southern California's Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism. She has spent over 30 years at USC, designing and teaching 22 courses, mentoring faculty and students, and leading curriculum development. Her expertise spans alternative dispute resolution, organizational culture, food communication, and civic engagement.

Education: PhD from USC, MA from Purdue University, BA from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire.

Research focuses on integrating theoretical and applied communication practices, with special emphasis on negotiation, organizational networks, and social justice. She has conducted workshops internationally in conflict management and strategic planning. Awards include the W. Charles Redding Dissertation Award (1989) and a USC Mellon Mentoring Nomination (2009).

Teaching includes courses like CMGT 505 (Communication in Work Settings) and CMGT 576 (Conflict Management Strategies). She has served as a faculty mediator, Fulbright Scholar coach, and volunteer with Los Angeles Dispute Resolution programs.
