Colleen Byrne

Dr. Colleen Byrne is a Clinical Professor and Director of the Psychology Clinic at the University of Maryland. She oversees clinical training for doctoral students and received her PhD from Emory University. Her work focuses on psychotherapy, assessment practica, and ethics committees. Dr. Byrne provides pro bono services through the Give an Hour Foundation and Pro Bono Counseling Project.

Her research explores clinical supervision, ethics in psychology, interpersonal and cognitive-behavioral psychotherapy, and mental health administration. She emphasizes therapist self-awareness and the therapeutic relationship in teaching.
