Colin Wayne Leach

Colin Wayne Leach is a Professor of Psychology & Africana Studies at Barnard College, Columbia University. He holds additional affiliations as a Faculty Fellow at the Institute for Research in African-American Studies and Graduate Faculty in Psychology at the Graduate School of Arts & Sciences.

• Education: B.A. (1989), M.A. (1991) from Boston University; Ph.D. (1995) from the University of Michigan

His research spans social and personality psychology, focusing on status and morality in identity, emotion, and motivation, with expertise in protest & resistance, prejudice and stereotypes, and meta-theoretical approaches. He integrates transdisciplinary frameworks from Africana Studies and social behavioral sciences.
