Colin Hopkins

Colin Hopkins is a Professor at Imperial College, where he served as Head of Molecular Cell Biology in the Department of Biological Studies (1991–2000) and previously as Professor of Physiological Biochemistry in the Department of Biochemistry (1986–1991).

Research Interests:
His work focuses on membrane trafficking mechanisms, including the sorting of receptors like epidermal growth factor (EGF) and insulin into specialized domains for internalization, and lysosomal routing of proteins via intracellular pathways.
