Colin Gould

Colin Gould is an Assistant Professor of Chemistry at the University of California, Berkeley, starting July 1, 2025. His research focuses on addressing challenges in pharmaceutical and fine chemical synthesis through interdisciplinary approaches utilizing physical stimuli.

• Education: Sc.B. from Brown University (2015), Ph.D. from UC Berkeley (2020)

Research interests include catalysis, synthetic methodology development, and leveraging light, electricity, and magnetic exchange to control reaction selectivity and catalyst behavior. His work aims to bypass conventional screening campaigns by enabling precise modulation of chemical reactions via external stimuli.
