Cocoa Williams

Cocoa Williams is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Literature, Media, and Writing at Spelman College, where she has been a faculty member since 2021. Her work bridges literary studies, museum culture, and African American history, focusing on inclusivity in cultural spaces.

Research Interests
Cocoa’s research explores the intersection of African American arts, museum culture, and literary engagement. She examines how Black writers interact with museum spaces and advocate for visual artists, particularly through the lens of the National Museum of African American History and Culture’s establishment.
