Clinton Osemwengie

Clinton Osemwengie is a Lecturer in Law and researcher at the University of East London (UEL), affiliated with the Centre of Fintech. He holds a PhD in business and law with expertise in financial technology regulation. His research focuses on blockchain technology adoption in African capital markets and legal frameworks for emerging financial technologies. He previously contributed to the Cambridge Centre for Alternative Finance's global FinTech resilience study (2022).

Research Interests: Legal dimensions of distributed ledger technology, banking regulation, international finance, and corporate financial crime. His work bridges regulatory challenges in fintech innovation and traditional financial systems.

Teaching: Leads LLM modules in FinTech Law and Regulation, Business and Financial Law, and LLB Business Law programs at UEL.
