Clay Samford

Clay Samford serves as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Denver Sturm College of Law. He is a Senior Trial Attorney with the U.S. Department of Justice Environment and Natural Resources Division, specializing in litigation involving federal agencies and natural resources law.

Education:

• BA with honors, Cornell University
• JD with distinction, Stanford Law School

Research Interests: Focus on environmental and natural resources law, including administrative law, federal public land management, and regulatory compliance under acts like NEPA, ESA, and Clean Water Act.

Teaching Experience: Has taught Natural Resources Law at the University of Denver Sturm College of Law, National Advocacy Center, University of Hawaii William S. Richardson School of Law, and Harvard Law School.
