Clay Greene

Clay Greene is a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Florida, specializing in early modern English literature and intellectual history. His research bridges philosophy, theology, and poetry, with a particular focus on John Milton's works.

Greene’s research traces the evolution of heroic poetry in relation to shifting conceptions of warfare and imperial ambition, arguing for a revival of Homeric realism over chivalric traditions in late 17th-century literature.
