Dr. Claria Guo is a Lecturer in the School of Electronic Engineering and Computer Science at Queen Mary University of London. She holds a PhD in Business Informatics from the University of Reading and an MBA from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. With over 15 years of industry experience in the ICT sector, her expertise bridges academia and practical technology application.
Her research focuses on pervasive informatics, particularly in designing systems that integrate technology into everyday life. Key areas include social/collaborative computing architectures, data management strategies, and leveraging ICT for strategic business purposes. She explores how ambient information systems can enhance decision-making and user experiences across diverse domains.
Teaching responsibilities include undergraduate courses like ECS419A (Information System Analysis) and ECS531U (Business Modelling), as well as postgraduate modules such as ECS745P (Business Information Systems Research).
