Clara Gordon Lipszyc is a Full-time Lecturer and Section Head of the Portuguese program in the Department of Spanish and Portuguese at Case Western Reserve University (CWRU). She also teaches Spanish courses and has contributed to curriculum development for Portuguese studies at CWRU. A native of Lisbon, Portugal, she has lived in Mozambique and Canada, and holds advanced degrees in Spanish and French/English.

- B.A. in Spanish Language and Literature from University of Western Ontario
Her research and teaching focus on language education, Latin American politics in literature, and multicultural approaches to Spanish and Portuguese studies. She integrates innovative technologies like NING social networks and real-time video conferencing with international students to enhance language learning.
Clara has been recognized for her teaching excellence through multiple Wittke Award and USG Teaching Excellence Award nominations. She became a UCITE Fellow in 2018, underscoring her commitment to pedagogical innovation.
