Clara Forcht is a Researcher affiliated with the Department Gerhard Wolf at the Kunsthistorisches Institut in Florenz, an institute of the Max Planck Society. She holds an M.A. in Art History and Cultural Heritage Conservation from universities in Bamberg and Berlin, completing her thesis on cultural entanglement in the medieval Mediterranean. Previously a student assistant in the institute's library (2022), she transitioned to her current research role in 2023. Her current work focuses on a PhD project examining depictions of plants and landscapes in early medieval Europe, linking artistic representations to real-world environments, production contexts, and liturgical use.
