Clara Della Croce is a Senior Lecturer in Law at SOAS University of London's School of Law, Gender and Media. She serves as UG and PG Careers Lead, Foundation Year Tutor, and Clinical Legal Education/Pro-bono coordinator. Her expertise spans international migration law, refugee and immigration law, human rights law, European law, and development law.
Prior to joining SOAS, she worked with United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) in Geneva and the Organization of American States (OAS) in Washington DC, providing technical assistance on trade services under the General Agreement on Trade in Services (GATS). She has additional experience at the European Commission in Brussels and as a commercial lawyer in Brazil and the UK.
For over a decade, she has supported migrants, refugees, and immigration detainees through legal advocacy. She currently leads the SOAS Detention Law Clinic and SOAS ECF Clinic, focusing on the intersection of theoretical frameworks and practical applications in asylum, immigration, and human rights contexts.
