Clara Cornaro is a doctoral student at the Network Ageing Research (NAR) at Heidelberg University and a Research Assistant at the Research Institute for Creative Arts Therapies (RIArT) at Alanus University of Arts and Social Sciences. She holds an M.A. in Dance Movement Therapy from SRH Hochschule Heidelberg and an M.A. in Health and Society South Asia from Heidelberg University.
Her research focuses on artistic therapies for individuals affected by dementia, incorporating frameworks like the Dunphy Outcome Framework (DOF) and WHO's ICF. She collaborates with institutions like the German Center for Neurodegenerative Diseases (DZNE) and supports clinical studies on dance therapy efficacy. Notable achievements include winning the Master's Prize in Therapy Sciences for her thesis on dance interventions for dementia.
