Claire Street

Claire Street serves as a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Business Management and Organisation within the School of Business, Law, and Policing at Canterbury Christ Church University, where she advances entrepreneurship education through innovative teaching methods and research focused on transformative social change.

Her research interests include:

• Gendered nature of entrepreneurial discourse and practice
• Women's experiences in poverty and socioeconomic marginality
• Feminist Poststructuralist theoretical frameworks
• Intersectionality of gender, class, and ethnicity in entrepreneurial identity formation

Dr Street critically examines how power relations shape recognition as an entrepreneur and challenges mainstream theories that reinforce male-centered assumptions, advocating for nuanced understandings of entrepreneurship embedded in broader social contexts.
