Claire Hadfield

Claire Hadfield is a Senior Lecturer at the School of Education, Marjon University. She specializes in English literature, with a focus on poetry, identity, and language. Her current PhD research examines the professional identity formation of trainee and early-career teachers during PGCE and NQT years.

• Qualifications: Doctoral candidate (Marjon), M.Phil. in Place, Language, and Identity (University of Strathclyde), BA in French and Philosophy (University of Exeter).
• Teaching Roles: Secondary PGCE, BA (Hons) English, Reflective Practice, Late 20th/21st Century Literature.

Her research explores digital literature, flash fiction, and the intersection of language with social place. She is an Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and affiliated with the Chartered College of Teaching and National Association for the Teaching of English.

Publications include a pending 2020 review in C21 Literature: Journal of 21st Century Writings. She also engages in creative writing, cinema, and music.
