Claire Cullen

Dr. Claire Cullen is a Lecturer in Psychology at the School of Humanities, South East Technological University (SETU), Waterford, where she also leads the BA (Hons) Psychology Program. Her research focuses on implicit bias, LGBTQ+ rights, sexuality education, and health literacy. She holds a PhD from Maynooth University (2016) and a Professional Certificate in Teaching and Learning in Higher Education (2007).

She advocates for comprehensive sexuality education, equality, diversity, and inclusion (EDI), and has contributed to national guidelines for LGBTQ+ mental health practice. Her work extends to healthcare disparities among marginalized communities and the psychological impact of cancer survivorship.
