Clémence Deswert is a doctoral student in political science and a FNRS Research Fellow at the Centre for the Study of Political Life (Cevipol) at Université libre de Bruxelles (ULB). Her research focuses on the gendered construction of political leadership in media discourse, specifically within Belgium and France. She co-coordinates the Gender & Politics working group of the Belgian Francophone Political Science Association (ABSP).

Her thesis project, Leading by Caring: A Contextual Approach to the Gendered Mediation of Political Leadership, examines how media narratives shape gendered perceptions of leadership. As a FNRS Research Fellow, she contributes to academic discourse through institutional support.
