Cindy Wall

Dr. Cindy Wall serves as an Adjunct Associate Professor in the Psychology department within the Faculty of Health. Her clinical and research work focuses on psychological factors influencing health outcomes, particularly in chronic pain populations and military veterans with PTSD.

Her research interests center on clinical health psychology with emphasis on personality interactions with mental and physical health. Key areas include rehabilitation from compensable injuries, psychological factors in post-diagnosis recovery, pain self-efficacy mechanisms, and patient decision-making in chronic pain management. Her work significantly contributes to Sustainable Development Goals related to health and well-being.

Recent publications demonstrate strong focus on chronic pain interventions, PTSD in Australian Defence Force veterans, and implementation of psychological support in clinical settings. Her 2021-2025 output shows consistent work on pilot studies, qualitative analyses of patient experiences, and development of integrated care models for pain management.
