Cindy Jenkins

Cindy Jenkins is an Extension Assistant Professor in the Home & Community department at Utah State University Extension, focusing on youth development, community health, and nutrition programs. Based in Utah County, she leads initiatives like the 4-H Youth Development Program and collaborates on the HEART (Health Extension: Advocacy, Research, and Teaching) Initiative, addressing public health challenges such as the opioid epidemic.

• Educational Background: MPA in Nonprofit Management from Brigham Young University (2014), BS in Fitness and Wellness (Gerontology focus) from Brigham Young University (2009).

Her work emphasizes program development, community engagement, and food safety education through initiatives like Create Better Health and the Homegrown Horticulture Podcast. Cindy holds a Master Food Preserver Certification (2021) and developed a curriculum for youth confidence-building (2020).
