Cindy Hunter Morgan

Cindy Hunter Morgan is Assistant Professor of English and Creative Writing at Michigan State University, specializing in poetry and literary arts. Her creative scholarship explores Great Lakes maritime history through poetry collections and interdisciplinary collaborations with visual artists.

Research interests include regional history interpretation through verse, murder ballad traditions in folk music, and multimodal projects combining text with visual art. Published works include the full-length collection Harborless (Wayne State University Press) and chapbooks The Sultan, The Skater, The Bicycle Maker and Apple Season.
