Chun-Kit Ngan is an Associate Teaching Professor in the Data Science department at Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI). He holds a Ph.D. in Information Technology from George Mason University, an MBA in Management Information Systems from California State University, Chico, and a BEng in Electronic Engineering from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology.
His research focuses on Decision Guidance and Support Systems (DGSS), encompassing Decision Optimization Models, Machine/Deep Learning, Data Analytics, Natural Language Processing, and Computer Vision. He develops computational algorithms to enhance decision-making in healthcare, environmental engineering, and robotics. Teaching interests include Database Management, Data Mining, AI, and Software Programming.
