Christy Tanner

Christy Tanner is an Associate Professor in the Department of Crop and Soil Science at Oregon State University. Her work focuses on field crop production in the South Willamette Valley, particularly for grass, legume, and specialty seed crops, cereals, mint, and meadowfoam.

• Specializes in aerial imagery (via drones) for assessing vole damage in grass seed fields
• Expertise in pesticide education, integrated pest and weed management, and nutrient management to improve soil health and reduce tillage
• Developed the Mint Pest Alert Growing Degree Web App for pest forecasting
