Christopher Williams is a Lecturer and Co-Director of the First Year Writing Program at the Department of English, Queens College, CUNY. He teaches courses on academic writing, creative writing, and the pedagogy of teaching writing. His instructional philosophy emphasizes writing as a process involving close reading, research, reflection, and revision. His work often explores global and sustainable writing communities, pedagogical coherence, and the role of multilingual tutors as 'literacy brokers' in higher education.
He has presented at conferences including the SUNY Fashion Institute of Technology Conference on Writing (2012), the Sondra Perl Research Symposium (2017), and the National Conference on Peer Tutors in Writing (2017).
