Christopher Ward

Christopher Ward is a Professor of Psychology and Neuroscience and serves as Department Chair of Psychology at the University of Houston-Clear Lake's College of Human Sciences and Humanities. He earned his PhD in experimental psychology from the University of Southern Mississippi and completed a postdoctoral fellowship in neuroscience at Harvard Medical School.

Dr. Ward specializes in sleep and sleep disorders research, focusing on the effects of sleepiness on learning, memory, and stress response. His work has received funding from the National Institutes of Health, foundations, and private corporations.

As department chair, he oversees the Psychology program within the College of Human Sciences and Humanities, where he continues to contribute to academic leadership and research development in behavioral neuroscience.
