Christopher Utter serves as Associate Director of the Lincoln Scholars program and lecturer in the Department of Government within the School of Public Affairs at American University. He teaches courses in the Lincoln Scholars program and upper-level political theory courses across multiple semesters.
His research focuses on classical political philosophy with particular attention to the relationship between theory and practice in the works of Plato and Aristotle. Utter holds a B.A. from St. John's College (2006), and both an M.A. and Ph.D. from Georgetown University (2015).
