Christopher Tonetti is an Associate Professor of Economics at Stanford Graduate School of Business and a Research Associate at the National Bureau of Economic Research. His research focuses on macroeconomics, particularly economic growth through firm innovation and technology adoption, and household finance dynamics over the life cycle.
He received a BA in Economics-Mathematics from Columbia University and a PhD in Economics from New York University. His current work examines technology diffusion patterns, trade policy impacts on innovation, and the economics of consumer data rights.
Awards include the Botha-Chan Faculty Scholar, Business School Trust Faculty Scholar, and Fletcher Jones Faculty Scholar awards.
