Dr. Christopher Sneller serves as a Lecturer in Missional Theology at Houston Christian University (HCU), specifically within the School of Christian Thought’s Theology department. He specializes in the global intersection of theology, culture, and education, with a focus on Chinese Christianity and 20th-century missionary movements. His academic career spans East Asia, Western Europe, and North America, reflecting his commitment to cross-cultural theological engagement.
Education: Dr. Sneller holds a PhD in Historical Theology from King’s College London, an MA in Christian Education from Dallas Theological Seminary, an MA in Theological Studies from Covenant Theological Seminary, and a BA in Speech Communication & English from Texas A&M University.
Research Interests: His work examines the historical and cultural dynamics of Christianity in China, particularly through the lens of Union Theological Seminary’s impact, the Three-Self Movement, and the role of honor-shame frameworks in missiology.
