Christopher S. Lynch is Professor of Mechanical Engineering and Dean of the Marlan and Rosemary Bourns College of Engineering (BCOE) at UC Riverside, overseeing approximately 4000 undergraduate and 1000 graduate students across 5 departments. The college focuses on preparing students for technology-driven economies and regional economic development.
He holds M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from UC Santa Barbara. Previously at Georgia Tech's Woodruff School (1995) and UCLA's Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering Department (2007), he developed UCLA's MS Online Program and served as Department Chair. His research specializes in Smart Materials and Structures.
