Christopher Rozek

Christopher Rozek is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Education at Washington University in St. Louis. He serves as Director of Graduate Studies and leads the Student Emotions and Belonging Lab (SEBL). His research investigates how students’ emotions, social identities, and feelings of belonging impact academic success and well-being, with a focus on equity in education.

• Educational interventions targeting identity safety and social belonging
• Interdisciplinary work bridging psychology and education
• Field experiments across elementary, college, and higher education settings

His research has been supported by the Spencer Foundation, National Science Foundation, and Chan Zuckerberg Initiative, among others. Findings have been widely disseminated in media outlets like The Atlantic, NPR, and Ed Week.
