Christopher Rizzo

Christopher Rizzo is a Clinical Professor and Coordinator of Clinical Education at the University of New England, located in Decary Hall LH3. With 17 years of teaching experience, he focuses on athletic training education, particularly in orthopaedic injury examination, clinical reasoning, and physical agents in athletic healthcare. His work emphasizes developing diverse clinical experiences for students across traditional and non-traditional healthcare settings.

Professor Rizzo has presented nationally on using simulation to enhance student learning and has established interprofessional educational opportunities with other health programs. He received the Mike Linkovich Professional Grant in 2013, enabling him to conduct innovative spineboarding simulations using high-fidelity patient simulators with athletic trainers, students, and local EMTs.
