Christopher Reck

Christopher Reck serves as a Professional Lecturer of Finance at Marist College's School of Management, joining the faculty in June 2019 following his retirement from IBM. His corporate tenure included pivotal roles as CFO of IBM North America, CFO of IBM Analytics, and Assistant Corporate Controller, where he executed acquisitions, divestitures, and business transformations.

His academic foundation includes:

• MBA in Finance from the University of Rochester School of Business
• BA in Economics from the College of the Holy Cross

Professor Reck's expertise spans FinTech, Blockchain, cloud computing, and strategic business analytics, leveraging 30+ years of corporate financial leadership to bridge theoretical frameworks with real-world applications in risk management and investor communications. His industry experience in incubating new business units and driving cultural transformations directly informs his pedagogical approach.

He actively contributes as a Board member for a private company and maintains a personal life centered around hiking and college hockey with his family in Dutchess County, New York.
