Christopher Pain is a Professor and Professorial Research Fellow in Earth Science and Engineering at Imperial College London, where he heads the Applied Modelling and Computation Group (AMCG). With over 200 journal publications, his research develops numerical methods for earth systems, engineering, and biomedical sciences.
Key research areas include ocean-atmosphere modeling, climate systems, multiphase flows, turbulence, and particle transport. The AMCG group specializes in high-performance computing applications across environmental science, energy systems, and medical physics.
