Christopher Marshall is an Assistant Professor at the University of Rochester's Department of Physics. He holds a BA from Carleton College (2010) and a Ph.D. from the University of Rochester (2016). Prior to his faculty role, he served as a Visiting Scholar at Fermilab (2015) and a Chamberlain Fellow at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (2016-2020). His research focuses on experimental high-energy physics, particularly neutrino behavior.
Marshall is co-convener of the long-baseline physics working group for the Deep Underground Neutrino Experiment (DUNE), contributing to the Near Detector design. He collaborates on the Daya Bay reactor neutrino experiment in China and previously worked on MINERvA at Fermilab. His work includes studying neutrino interactions, proton decay mechanisms, and rare kaon production processes.
