Dr. Christopher Kissane is the Engagement and Impact Lead in the Department of Economic History at the London School of Economics (LSE). He holds a D.Phil in Economic & Social History from Balliol College, Oxford, and a BA from Trinity College Dublin. His research focuses on food history, citizenship, and Irish migration, with notable works including his book Food, Religion, & Communities in Early Modern Europe. He has been a postdoctoral researcher at LSE and lectured at the University of Warwick. His media contributions include BBC New Generation Thinker appearances, hosting the Ireland’s Edge podcast, and writing for The Irish Times and The Guardian. He co-authored landmark reports on race and gender in UK history with the Royal Historical Society and served as an Editorial Fellow at History Workshop.
