Christopher Hrynkow

Christopher Hrynkow is a Professor of Religion and Culture at St. Michael's College. He holds advanced degrees including an EdD from the University of Bath (2023) and a ThD in Christian Ethics from the University of Toronto's St. Michael's College (2016). His research focuses on Religion and Science, Cultural Sustainability, Ecojustice, and Nonviolent Activism. He is currently working on a book about Father Bob Ogle. Hrynkow's recent work includes analyzing papal contributions to peacebuilding, ecotheological frameworks, and interdisciplinary approaches to social justice.

His academic roles include teaching CPSJ 310 (Peace Theory and Praxis) and RLST 314 (Issues in Catholicism). He serves as Vice President of the Canadian Peace Research Association and Board Member of the Catherine Donnelly Foundation. Hrynkow's publications span peer-reviewed journals like Peace & Change and Heythrop Journal, focusing on intersections of theology, ecology, and peacebuilding.
