Christopher Holt

Christopher Holt is a Senior Lecturer in Theatre and Performance Practice at London Metropolitan University, joining in 2003. His 30+ year career spans professional acting, singing, directing, and voice coaching. He specializes in community and applied theatre, with international collaborations including the Moscow Arts Theatre, National Theatre of Milan, and projects in Hamburg and Mainz. He has worked extensively with organizations like Graeae, Fingersmith, and Face Front to create inclusive theatre for diverse audiences, including those with disabilities and vulnerable adults. His coaching also includes work with Open Age and The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama.

Education: BA in Performing Arts (Middlesex Polytechnic), MA in Theatre Directing (Royal Holloway, University of London).

His directing credits include The Hired Man (TMA award-winning) and Love! Valour! Compassion! (UK premiere). As an actor, he has performed in West End shows like Lion King, Les Misérables, and Cats under directors such as Trevor Nunn and Sam Mendes. He is Associate Theatre Facilitator for Outside Edge Theatre Company, focusing on recovery-focused theatre for vulnerable adults.
