Christopher Gillam is Adjunct Professor of Anthropology at Winthrop University, specializing in Paleoindian archaeology and GIS applications. His research spans transcontinental human migrations with fieldwork in Mongolia, Siberia, and the American Southeast.
Current projects include Paleoindian settlement patterns in the Savannah River Valley and pro-social archaeology at Historic Brattonsville slave sites. His methodological approach integrates geographic modeling with material culture analysis.
Gillam previously directed South Carolina's archaeological predictive modeling initiatives and edited the South Carolina Antiquities journal.
